Android Developer

Netherlands, Noord-Holland, AmsterdamProduct

Job description

The product of NOWATCH is, of course, the NOWATCH X. A beautiful piece of jewelry that is capable of measuring our users’ vital signs. But, being an interface-less device, we need to provide our users with a solution for visualizing their data. This is where you come in.

At NOWATCH we are building a high-quality design, native mobile application. There are several corresponding domains in the app, with a lot more to come. Think of bluetooth (always-on connection with NOWATCH), high amounts of sensory data, OpenGL/Metal and in the future we will be implementing ML models.

As a mobile developer at NOWATCH you are directly involved in the evolution of the application. We are looking for people who thrive on tackling complexities, have a proactive mindset and are keen on pushing the application, and the development team, to the next level.

NOWATCH is a young organization looking to grow. You have a lot of impact on both our product as well as our team, hence we value candidates with a sense of responsibility and team working mindset.

Responsibilities

    • You implement new features from start to finish

    • You translate design into high quality code

  • You enjoy working in an agile team
    • You actively participate in our dailies, refinements, retrospectives and demos

    • You have a passion for development and like sharing your knowledge with others

    • You don’t wait for things to happen, you make them happen

    • You work both independently and as part of a team

    • You manage time across competing demands to meet deadlines

    • You work closely with designers and developers

  • Together with the team you bring the unit testing to the next level
    • You help implement unit testing for automated tests of key app features

    • You continuously seek to improve the process to get the best quality output
