NOWATCH is a beautiful piece of wearable jewellery capable of measuring a range of different vital signs and analyses. Being a screen-less device,  the product comes with an app to monitor data and foster habit change. Whilst most other wearable focus on optimisation and performance for fitness, NOWATCH focuses on helping people restore balance in daily life.

As a Fullstack Developer at NOWATCH, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems and help Marketing team with the website. As part of Tech team, you will work closely with our mobile app developers to create seamless, user-friendly experiences for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of TypeScript, Node.js and Nest.js, Next.js or React along with a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Key Responsibilities

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Typescript, ensuring NOWATCH's backend leverages the latest technologies and best practices.

  • Good understand of backend frameworks such as Node.js, Express and Nest.js.

  • Good understanding of frontend frameworks such as Next.js or React.

  • Good understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL and being able to store sensitive user data in secure and efficient way.

  • Able to translate requirements into well-designed technical solutions and effective communication skills.

  • Experience with Docker and AWS cloud stack.

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring that user data is always protected and that the backend adheres to relevant regulations and guidelines.

  • Continuously monitor and update the backend to ensure compliance with the latest security standards.

Deployment & Version Control:

  • Skilfully using version control tools, like Git, to manage code iterations and facilitate team collaboration.

  • Overseeing backend releases, timely updates, and patches, guaranteeing users access to the freshest features and solutions.

Collaboration & Feedback:

  • Regularly syncing with cross-functional teams to ensure backend functionalities mirror NOWATCH's mission and values.

  • Collecting feedback from stakeholders, ensuring continuous backend enhancement and upholding our value of harmony.

Continuous Learning:

  • Actively seeking out new trends and advancements in the backend development space.

  • Implementing efficient coding practices that promote personal well-being and a healthy work-life balance.

  • Investing time in skill enhancement, thus embodying NOWATCH's commitment to continuous growth and learning.

  • Actively participate in the monthly ‘Alpha Days’ collaborating cross-domain with internal teams to rapidly prototype, innovate, and bring forth creative tech solutions.
