Job description
About Polsen Health (formerly NOWATCH)
Our mission is to help everybody live a healthy and meaningful life.
Polsen makes wearables built on a contrarian idea: that the point of health technology is not to make you overoptimise individual metrics in isolation. What matters more is how those metrics interact with each other, and over time. That's what shows how well your body is able to regulate itself — and improving it drives both long-term health and how you feel every day.
Two things we do differently.
What we measure. Beyond the standard set — sleep, activity, HRV, resting heart rate, SpO₂, respiratory rate — we track the activity of your stress response continuously, second by second. That resolution is what lets us measure the cumulative load it leaves behind. It gives us a view of whether your body is genuinely recovering, and lets us see shifts in allostatic load, one of the most promising predictors of long-term health outcomes.
How we behave as a technology company. Here's a truth: most of this industry profits by keeping you hooked on a subscription while it learns everything about you. We do neither. No subscription. Nothing designed to keep you scrolling. Your data stays yours — never sold, never quietly handed off to anyone else. For us that isn't a policy. It's just what we think is right.
Your role
You own what Polsen means, what we say, and how it lands.
The argument is a genuinely new one — that a health tracker shouldn't fight for your attention — and the job is to turn it into storytelling sharp enough to drive desirability, differentiation and conversion.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the work, not above it. And because we're a startup growing fast, the edges of the job are wide open: go-to-market plans that move the business, partnerships, whole channels nobody here has opened yet.
The health tracking market is crowded and changes constantly, so our brand needs to stand out and at times be provocative — while staying true to what we are: a science-first company working on preventative health.
Your closest collaborators are our Creative Director, our product managers and our scientists, with a multidisciplinary in-house team of designers, copywriters and developers, freelance support where it helps, and a direct line to the CMO/CCO. Product management brings the consumer insight, the target audience and the value proposition. The articulation — and everything downstream of it — is yours.
What you'll do
Brand story and positioning
Co-create and execute the Polsen brand platform: promise, narrative, tone of voice, and the distinctive assets that make us recognizable in three seconds
Turn our mission — technology that doesn't addict — into a position that is emotionally sharp and commercially useful
Own and maintain the messaging hierarchy, from brand promise through the category argument down to feature-level messaging, as a living, versioned document the whole company works from
Translate complex product capabilities into simple, compelling customer stories
Turn scientific credibility into content people actually want to engage with
Build the argument for a category that doesn't exist yet, in language a person with average health knowledge understands
Campaign concept and creative direction
Strategize and craft campaign narratives and experiences that express our brand and meet consumers where they are, while staying true to our scientific approach to preventative health
Leverage activist narratives around Polsen's position on technology for good
Serve as day-to-day lead across campaign work-streams, with clear roles, responsibilities and deliverables
Manage the day-to-day execution of integrated campaigns across brand, product, retail and cultural moments
Own the marketing calendar end to end, and protect it from ad hoc reprioritisation
Run integrated campaigns across paid, owned and earned — with the US as lead market and NL and UK on adapted assets — against clear KPIs tied to business goals
Co-create our go-to-market plans and the materials that carry them, from pitch decks to event and retail assets
Analyze and improve the funnel
Run structured message testing on hooks, concepts and landing experiences. We want to know a message works, not believe it.
Own the homepage narrative, the briefs behind it, and the job it has to do
Close a real gap in what we know: we understand our near-buyers well and our non-buyers barely at all
Guerrilla, earned and community
Build the channel we don't have. Organic and earned is a small share of our traffic and converts around four times better than paid social.
Own earned as a primary channel with its own targets: stunts, cultural moments, partnerships, PR, provocation with a point
Job requirements
What we're looking for
9+ years in integrated marketing, brand marketing or campaign management, in-house or agency
Demonstrated ability to lead 360° campaigns from strategy through execution, with measurable brand or business impact
Full storytelling and creative expertise, with a proven ability to build authentic connection and turn it into commercial results
A genuinely strong writer. Not "good at briefs" — you can write the line yourself, and it's better than what the team hands you.
Experience working with creative and media teams, in-house and at agencies, to deliver high-quality work
Comfort with substance. Our differentiators are physiological and behavioral. You don't need a science degree, but you need to enjoy learning the mechanism well enough to make it feel like something — and to know where the line sits between compelling and over-claiming.
A real understanding of health tech, wellness and preventative health ecosystems, and of the credibility factors that make a brand accepted in them
You can hold a position under pressure, and change your mind when the argument is better. We argue here. It's how the work gets good.
A collaborative, co-creative way of working across disciplines
Passion for wellness, technology and purpose-driven brands
