Job requirements

What You’ll Be Doing

As our new Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of designing and building the next generation of smartwatch hardware. You will:

  • Lead the mechanical design of our next generation of smartwatches, integrating cutting-edge hardware and components while balancing aesthetics with durability and manufacturability.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, embedded and industrial design) to bring product concepts from prototype to mass production.

  • Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and partner directly with suppliers and factories to ensure quality, scalability, and smooth production ramp-up.

  • Select and manage suppliers, overseeing outsourced manufacturing with a focus on quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

  • Own the mechanical engineering roadmap, from concept ideation to validation, testing, and production launch.

  • Build and support tooling (fixtures, testing rigs, quality control systems, flashing, etc.) to keep development and manufacturing efficient.

Every day will bring a mix of challenges, innovation, and collaboration, all while contributing to our mission and helping us shape the future of wearable technology.

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who resonates with our values and brings:

  • Proven experience in consumer product development, ideally in wearables, smart devices, or other compact consumer electronics.

  • Strong foundations in mechanical engineering: CAD design (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent), material selection, waterproofing, structural integrity, analysis.

  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.) to iterate fast and validate ideas early.

  • Hands-on expertise in working with manufacturers and factories, including DFM, tooling, and production ramp-up.

  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a track record of shipping products from concept to mass production.

Nice To Have’s

These skills aren’t required, but they’d make you stand out:

  • Programming in C/Python for factory automation, testing, or validation.

  • Experience with RF (BLE), antenna design (LDS), and placement.

  • Familiarity with product certification (CE, EMC, CRA, etc.).

  • Experience in design for plastic injection molding.

Mindset

Above all, we value a mindset that aligns with our mission.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a “founder’s mindset” – authentic, proactive, resourceful, and ownership-oriented.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to pivot strategies as needed.

  • Passion for health technology and excitement to contribute to a mission-driven startup.
